Grist Mill Fine Arts Council was formed in 1977 to provide a means to bring the arts to southwest Iowa. In 1979 the Arts Council moved into the former site of the John Deere dealership owned by the McCready Family.
Inside the theater you'll find all sorts of farm memorabilia contributing to the ambiance and small town feel, though you won't think it's a small town performance.
With the help of the community and local actors with some real chops, Grist Mill Fine Arts is home to multiple amazing shows each year. Our goal is to bring the quality of big venues home.
Grist Mill is pleased to award 2 to 3 scholarships in the amount of $350.00 each year. Applications are due by April 1st. The scholarship money will be disbursed upon receipt of a copy of the first semester grades of the selected recipients. Scholarship winner(s) will be announced at Class Night or another appropriate venue. You may download the application at the bottom of the page. The provided links are in Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Word. Once completed, please either submit application to the school counselor or email to gristmillmacedonia@gmail.com.

Each year the Grist Mill Fine Arts Council board members get together to discuss the next year's activities and shows. While we try to make the best lineup possible, we just know there are ideas and talented actors/singers we haven't seen and heard.
Here's your chance! Whether you have an idea for a show or you'd like to be IN the show, fill out the form to let us know all about it!
